Interesting. I don't recall this issue occuring under emulation, only on real hardware. I used Virtual Adam for development and testing.

Yup, this happens sometimes and is related to timing issues with VDP port communication. It's very random and solved by resetting the computer. I have not found a solution to that because it seems to be a hardware issue....

Ahh okay, that is interesting that you say it is random! This morning I tried it out on AdamEm on Windows and the first time I used the editor it ran just fine (which had me thinking there actually may be something wrong with my real Adam) and then the next few times I tried to run the editor on AdamEm I got to the title screen, pressed a key and then it was stuck on a blank screen with no way to exit. Since it locked up (just on a different screen) maybe it is the same timing issue.

I just ran the "final" test from the Coleco Test Programs and the system passed through the ROM, RAM, Video, Sound, and got to the Controller stage. Tested my controllers too but couldn't figure out how to get past that test.

So based on this test it seems like the system is fine but I'm not sure if this can be considered conclusive or not.

Hello!

Any idea what would be the cause of screen corruption like this when launching adamed? I did use the config tool to change my colors to cyan on black but even before I updated the config I still had this issue.

An 80 column card would be quite economical. $30? I think if they were made, they would be quite... "prevalent"

I'm not sure it would be worth the effort given that 80 column cards are not prevalent. Also since this is CP/M based, it would require a patched CP/M version for 80 column as well. As far as I can tell, there is very little development occurring under CP/M currently, if any at all.
Furthermore, the conversion would not be trivial at all.
So the short answer is probably not

Updated Adamed in the first post (again). I apparently broke compatibility with the Turbo Pascal editor accidentally when I fixed the large file saving issue. Fixed that. Hopefully, this should be it for the editor (famous last words )

The screen gets corrupted in Tdos. Only works with CP/M 2.2

This is Adam specific as it uses the VDP text mode and the Adam keyboard key bindings.

Ok makes sense - did your try it in tdos?
