Re: Need help with testing joysticks

I know this is CP/M but you might want to review the POLLER and READ AND DEBOUNCE GAME CONTROLLER ($E206) subroutine in the EOS 5 source code to see how the game controllers are read and decoded in EOS. http://adamarchive.org/archive/Adam/Technical/E.O.S.%205.2%20Z80%20Source%20code.zip Thank you! ...

Re: Need help with testing joysticks

Not sure why it's doing this. It's just a CP/M disk. Must have gotten corrupted somehow during the upload.
Try this image. Should work.

Need help with testing joysticks

Hi. I'm working on the controller extension for Turbo Pascal 3 based on the Hacker's Manual info, but I am running into some issues. I am able to read the joysticks fine, but the values returned are totally different from what the Hacker's Manual says. Not a big deal. The main issue is that I have b...

Definitely need to try this out. Are you open to making sound and controller modules, too?
Funny, I was just looking at the technical data on this in the Hacker's Guide. The short answer is yes.

Turbo Pascal 3 bitmap graphics extensions

Here's a complete bitmap package for the Turbo Pascal 3 compiler under CP/M which will allow you to take advantage of the Adam's graphic capabilities using the power of a compiled Pascal environment. Here's a video demo of the package: https://youtu.be/u5RGUHVmTDA UPDATE 1/2/21: Apparently CP/M on t...

Re: ADAMED 40 column text editor

Updated Adamed in the first post (again). I apparently broke compatibility with the Turbo Pascal editor accidentally when I fixed the large file saving issue. Fixed that. Hopefully, this should be it for the editor (famous last words :D )

Re: Copy.Asm Source code

I used asm80.org for the development of Adamed. It's a very versatile online assembler that can target different CPU's. Otherwise I use the standard ASM assembler on the Adam itself.

Re: VDP memory organization

One important difference between the set up of the VDP on the ADAM compared to the TI 99/4A is that the bitmap display on the ADAM disables interrupts in VDP register 1 whereas on the TI they are enabled. Therefore, the standard content of VR1 for the ADAM for the bitmap mode is $C0. It took me a wh...
