Adam Image Manager
Adam Image Manager
So I am getting an error when I try to delete files from certain disks, whether CP/M or EOS, but it's not consistent. My system is a Win 10 laptop.
Here's one of the disks that throw an error. I am using the latest version from the Adam Archive.

Re: Adam Image Manager
The EOSWORK.DSK image is a non-standard EOS image and why Image Manager throws the error. The directory structure for an EOS disk should have at least 3 entries besides the volume label; BOOT, DIRECTORY and BLOCKS LEFT. All of these are missing in the EOSWORK.DSK image. If you generate new media in Image Manager or ADAMEM and use a hex editor to compare it to your EOSWORK.DSK you will see the difference. I guess I should edit to explain the problem rather than have it crash though.
If you have other problems, provide a step-by-step with an example DSK or DDP image. It will help isolate the problem quickly.

Re: Adam Image Manager
Hmmm... I created that disk using Virtual Adam and was using it normally. It looks like it got corrupted after trying to open it with AIM. Same thing seems to have happened with the disk attached, which contained a copy of the 2010 DDP files...

Re: Adam Image Manager
Non-interleaved I think
Re: Adam Image Manager
That would probably be the issue - if it is a ddp image then its possible Eric's software wont work.

Re: Adam Image Manager
Found the source of the corruption I think. I'll upload AIM 1.1.1 soon for testing. The software should handle both interleaved (DSK) and non-interleaved images (DDP).
Re: Adam Image Manager
It seems that the AIM insists on converting pure binary files into .com files regardless of the original file's extension. It also seems to be adding a 128 byte "header" to the converted files.
Is this an expected behavior?
