Help with file transfer
Help with file transfer
Hi. I'm trying to transfer a new CP/M editor COM file to the Adam using Image Manager, but it's not working. While the file appears to transfer fine and appears in a directory listing, it does not seem to exist when it comes to running it or doing a STAT on it.
Could someone here give it a shot an let me know if they are able to transfer it to a clean CP/M disk image?

Re: Help with file transfer
I actually figured it out!
Adam Image Manager does not transfer CP/M files properly for some reason, so the workaround is to transfer the files to an EOS blank disk then use the ADAM CP/M transfer program to get the files to a proper CP/M disk.
A pain in the butt but at least I got it working.

Re: Help with file transfer
Incidentally that text editor works great with a serial terminal in 80 columns on the Adam.

Re: Help with file transfer
Nice! Can you share the CP/M disk image with the editor on it?
Re: Help with file transfer
Here you go. I have it on my Z80 assembler disk. This is the VT100 version however and will not display properly on the Adam 40 column screen so it won't be usable for you unless you connect an external serial terminal like I have done.
The TE author has created several versions for different target machines and I have not tested them on the Adam, so it might be something you might want to try. Here's the repository: https://github.com/MiguelVis/te
